Course Outline
On a weeknight before the weekend at the
coast, a theory lesson at the Scuba Store
introduces students to the issues involved
with night diving and/or limited visibility.
Friday evening at the coast sees our first
night dive via a shore dive at Bawley Point.
On Saturday morning, we practice natural
navigational and compass navigation methods.
That afternoon, more underwater navigation
exercises. In the evening, instructor and
students typically
leave at dusk from Ulladulla for a 20m night
boat dive at familiar "Home Bommie". There's
a real sense of adventure heading out of the
harbour at night, and a corresponding feeling
of accomplishment upon our return.
On Sunday morning, a boat dive during which
we'll put our newfound navigation techniques to
the test by creating (and comparing) site maps.
The course finishes in the afternoon with a
summary and group discussion of the skills
learned and experience gained.
Cost
$245
